Rewards Stacking in Singapore 2026: Amaze, Atome, Kris+ & ShopBack

A "stack" is a payment rail you put between your card and the merchant to change how a transaction earns. Four are worth knowing in 2026: Instarem Amaze, which recodes spend as online so a card like Citi Rewards pays 4 mpd on in-store and overseas purchases; Atome, which splits a big purchase into three monthly installments so you beat your card's monthly bonus cap; Kris+, which pays bonus KrisFlyer miles on top of your card when you pay through its app (up to an extra 8 mpd on dining during Feast to Fly); and ShopBack, whose cashback stacks on top of any card when you shop online through its portal. None of them change which card is best for you — they change how much that card earns.

Instarem Amaze

0% on foreign currency · 1% on SGD

The Instarem Amaze card recodes your spending as an online transaction before passing it to the credit card behind it. Paired with the Citi Rewards Card (Mastercard), that turns in-store and overseas purchases into the card's 4 miles per dollar online-spend category — and Amaze charges no fee on foreign-currency spend.

How it works

Add your Citi Rewards Mastercard to the Amaze app, then pay with Amaze. Amaze keeps the merchant's category but flags the transaction as online, so Citi Rewards awards 4 mpd (10X ThankYou Points) up to S$1,000 per statement month — even on overseas spend, with no FCY fee from Amaze.

Best paired with

Citi Rewards Card
  • 1% fee (min S$0.50) on SGD-denominated spend from 10 Mar 2025 — best value on foreign-currency spend, where Amaze charges no fee.
  • Travel and in-app mobile-wallet payments are excluded even via Amaze.
  • Requires the Mastercard version of the Citi Rewards Card.
About Instarem Amaze

Atome

No consumer fee

Atome splits a purchase into three interest-free monthly installments. By spreading a large charge across three statement months, each month's portion stays under your card's monthly bonus cap — so you earn the bonus rate on the whole purchase instead of capping out. It also re-codes the charge as online retail (MCC 5999): booking travel through Atome — Agoda, Booking.com, Expedia, which normally code as travel (MCC 4722) and are excluded from most online-spend bonuses — earns the online bonus instead. On Citi Rewards that's 4 mpd, where booking the travel site directly earns only the base rate.

How it works

Pay with Atome and the linked credit card is charged in three parts (at purchase, +30 days, +60 days). A S$1,500 buy on a card with a S$1,000 monthly bonus cap earns ~4,200 miles if charged at once, but the full ~6,000 miles when split into three S$500 installments that each fit under the cap.

  • Three interest-free installments: due at purchase, +30 days, and +60 days.
  • Codes as MCC 5999 — Citi Rewards needs the Mastercard version (the Visa version does not earn the bonus here).
  • Travel play: Agoda / Booking.com / Expedia booked via Atome code as MCC 5999, so Citi Rewards earns 4 mpd vs base rate on a direct (MCC 4722) booking — still subject to the card's S$1,000/month online bonus cap.
  • Confirm the merchant accepts Atome and log a small test transaction first — MCC coding can change without notice.
  • This play earns your card's miles; Atome+ loyalty points (devalued May 2026) are separate.

Kris+

Stacks on top

Kris+ is Singapore Airlines' lifestyle app: scan a merchant's Kris+ QR code and pay with your credit card through it, and you earn KrisPay miles from Kris+ on top of whatever your card earns. The standout play is dining — the Feast to Fly promo adds up to 8 mpd at participating restaurants until 30 June 2026, stacking with your card's online-spend rate for up to 12 mpd.

How it works

Add your card to the Kris+ app, scan the merchant's Kris+ QR (now part of SGQR) and pay via Apple/Google Pay. Kris+ codes the charge as an online, in-app transaction, so an online-bonus card earns its online rate (KrisFlyer UOB 3 mpd uncapped; DBS Woman's World and HSBC Revolution 4 mpd) while Kris+ pays its own KrisPay miles on top. Transfer KrisPay miles to KrisFlyer within 21 days (1:1) or their value drops.

KrisFlyer UOB Credit CardDBS Woman's World CardHSBC Revolution Credit Card
  • Feast to Fly's 8 mpd runs 1 May–30 Jun 2026 at 73 participating restaurants; the base Kris+ earn continues after.
  • KrisPay miles convert to KrisFlyer 1:1 but must be transferred within 21 days, and KrisPay miles expire 6 months after earning.
  • Kris+ codes as online/in-app, not contactless — UOB Visa Signature earns only 0.4 mpd here, so use an online-bonus card instead.
  • Separate Visa Weekly Dining Treat: 400 bonus miles on a min S$50 Visa spend, once per week, first 800 users weekly.
  • Kris+ Shopping Spree (26 May–30 Jun 2026): 2,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles for S$50+ spend at 3+ of 56 participating retail merchants — capped to the first 300 users to complete, so treat as best-effort, not guaranteed (Mainly Miles 27 May 26).

ShopBack

Stacks on top

ShopBack is a cashback portal: start your online purchase by clicking through the ShopBack app or browser extension, then pay with whatever card you'd normally use. The ShopBack cashback is a separate rebate that stacks on top of your card's miles or cashback — it's card-agnostic, so it never changes which card is best, only how much you get back.

How it works

Open the store via ShopBack (app or extension), shop and check out as usual, and pay with your best card for that category. ShopBack tracks the sale and credits cashback after the store's validation period. Because the rebate comes from ShopBack — not your card — it adds to your card's normal rewards.

  • You must start the purchase from ShopBack for the cashback to track; going direct earns nothing extra.
  • Cashback rates vary by store and change often, and some categories or promo-stacked orders are excluded — check the store's rate first.
  • ShopBack Pay (the in-app wallet) is a separate product with its own card-eligibility rules; this play is the click-through portal.

Frequently asked

Yes. As of February 2026, Citi Rewards still treats Amaze transactions as online spend and awards 4 mpd (10X ThankYou Points), capped at S$1,000 per statement month. Amaze charges 1% on SGD spend (min S$0.50) since 10 March 2025, but nothing on foreign-currency spend — so it is most worthwhile overseas. Travel and in-app mobile-wallet payments are excluded even via Amaze, and you need the Mastercard version of Citi Rewards.

Atome splits a purchase into three interest-free monthly installments (due at purchase, +30 days, +60 days), charging your linked credit card ~1/3 each statement month. A S$1,500 buy on a card with a S$1,000 monthly bonus cap earns roughly 4,200 miles charged at once, but the full ~6,000 miles when split into three S$500 installments that each stay under the cap. It codes as MCC 5999, so on Citi Rewards you again need the Mastercard version.

For Amaze, the math is clearest on foreign-currency spend (0% Amaze fee) — you swap your card's base rate plus its ~3.25% FX fee for 4 mpd with no fee. For SGD spend, the 1% Amaze fee means it only pays off above ~S$50 and when the bonus rate clears the fee. For Atome, there's no consumer fee, so the cap-stretch is essentially free miles on big-ticket purchases — just remember to budget for the three monthly installments.

Pay through the Kris+ app (scan the merchant's Kris+ QR and pay via Apple/Google Pay) and Kris+ awards its own KrisPay miles on top of whatever your card earns. During Feast to Fly (1 May–30 June 2026), that's up to an extra 8 mpd at 73 participating restaurants — and because Kris+ codes the charge as online, an online-bonus card like KrisFlyer UOB (3 mpd, uncapped), DBS Woman's World or HSBC Revolution (4 mpd) earns its rate too, for up to 12 mpd combined. Transfer KrisPay miles to KrisFlyer within 21 days (1:1) or their value drops, and note Kris+ counts as online not contactless, so UOB Visa Signature only earns 0.4 mpd here.

Yes — they are independent. Start your online purchase from the ShopBack app or browser extension, then pay with whatever card you'd normally use; ShopBack credits its cashback (after the store's validation period) on top of your card's miles or cashback. It is card-agnostic, so it never changes which card is best — just remember to start from ShopBack for the sale to track, and check the store's current rate, as rates vary and some categories are excluded.

Yes. When you own an eligible card and Perqa detects you are spending overseas, it surfaces the Amaze pairing right under your recommendation. The Atome cap-stretch shows up on large purchases, the Kris+ dining bonus appears when you search a restaurant, and the ShopBack reminder shows on online-shopping searches. The suggestions are advisory — they never change which card Perqa recommends, only how to squeeze more from it.
